This is the second patch I designed, again for Icicle. In 1986 it was a Klondike Derby, so I drew a patrol sled. The weekend was also a memorial to two Harford Scouters—Myron Bond and Bob Bailey—whose initials are on the side of the sled.
Halley’s Comet appears in the sky. I drew a daytime scene without the comet; the district activities committee switched to a night sky and added the comet. The patch manufacturer included the comet but left the sky its original light blue.
This is the first time I used a photocopier so I could color copies rather than the original. This was a great improvement.
